CesTek wins project
Do you have an item that needs to be packed or moved very quickly?
Read here about our latest case as inspiration for a sustainable solution with Omron's NEWEST SCARA robot.
The customer had a breakdown on an existing automation cell for handling and packing items (pick and place).
The spare parts were not immediately available, so we were asked to make an offer for a 1:1 replacement. The packing cell was very energy consuming and also locked in relation to future products on the plant. Therefore, we had to look at solutions for the functions and the cell with new eyes. In collaboration with the customer and Omron, we quickly agreed that the project should include the new SCARA robot type RS4-2054002 combined with completely new IO and control.
Cell consisting of pick and place, turners, stackers, and lots of air cylinders - all air supplied by worn out and leaking pneumatic valves and pneumatic cylinders.
All other IO cards were based on old ASI bus coding and spare parts were not readily available.
