Automated packaging and logistics solution

CESTEK has delivered a complete automation solution to optimise the packaging area and internal logistics at Vermund Larsen.

The solution includes, among other things, an Omron TM-LD90 mobile robot, custom-designed conveyors, and PLC/HMI control integrated with the company’s MES system.

The robot transports products from workstations to the packaging line, where an automated infeed unit places the product in the cardboard box.

At Vermund Larsen, the automation solution helps create a more cohesive and efficient production flow. The mobile robot handles the transport of finished products between workstations, eliminating manual lifting and repetitive movements in production.

The robot automatically collects products from the end stations and transports them safely to the packing area via the integrated conveyor solution. Here, the packing system ensures simple, ergonomic handling, allowing the employee to quickly prepare the packaging before the automatic infeed unit places the item in the box.

At the same time, the solution is fully integrated with the company’s systems, ensuring a stable flow, high traceability and minimal risk of errors. The result is a more streamlined production, where employees can focus more on value-adding tasks.
