CESTEK marks 15 years of growth

It originally began as a collaboration between two self-employed professionals who wanted to cover for each other during holidays. Today, CESTEK is a successful company with 40 specialized employees across departments in Horsens and Slagelse. The 15th anniversary will be marked in May and June.

Automation and engineering are at the core of CESTEK. Highly specialized employees, each with their own expertise, work together to enable robots and intelligent machines to increase efficiency for customers.

For the first many years, programming was the starting point. Since then, it has evolved to also include turnkey solutions.

Today, CESTEK is an engineering and service company with three main areas: programming and machine building, water and wastewater, and industrial service. These areas are supported by in-house competencies in control panel building and mechanical assembly. The latter was added in 2024 with a new mechanical design department.

When CESTEK, together with the valve manufacturer Vola, won the DIRA Award in 2020, it sparked the development of new solutions and customer relationships. That project in particular has been of great importance for a new agile project model, for which CESTEK is now known.

“In the past, customers wrote a large document describing what they wanted, and then we built it. But that resulted in far too many errors. Our agile project model ensures that the customer is involved all the way as an active participant in the process. This means fewer errors, shorter project timelines, and solutions that match end users’ needs,” explains Morten Bodilsen, Sales Director and Partner at CESTEK.

Strong forces united in the ownership group

It is not only CESTEK’s projects that have changed in recent years. The organization has also been strengthened. It is now just over a year since Thomas Jansen became a partner and CEO. CESTEK’s ownership group of four partners now has more than 100 years of combined industry experience.

“And that is precisely what we leverage in our strategy and the development of the company. When we look at a new assignment or a technical problem arises, one of the owners can contribute valuable experience to the solution. This is where we are strong,” says Thomas Jansen.

New brand prepares for the next 10 years

As part of marking CESTEK’s 15th anniversary, the company is investing in a new visual identity. CESTEK now delivers projects for large international manufacturing companies—among others in collaboration with their partners Siemens and Omron.

The professional level, which customers themselves have described, must be reflected in everything from the website to company vehicles. The three words are credibility, simplicity, and perseverance.

“These are values we identify with. We do not promise more than we can deliver, and we keep going until it works,” says Morten Bodilsen.

The anniversary will be marked locally for employees and invited guests at events on 27 May at Hattingvej 7C in Horsens and on 3 June at Bogensevej 9 in Slagelse.
