To optimize their internal logistics, Brd. Klee wanted to reduce manual work while creating more flexible handling of goods between the warehouse and shipping.

The company had considered forklifts as a solution, but quickly assessed that a more flexible and safer automation solution was needed.

Therefore, a mobile robot solution was chosen as the foundation for the project.

The implemented solution uses an OMRON LD250 mobile robot fitted with CESTEK’s DOX 250, which efficiently serves 10 trolleys (CESTEK Cart 500) equipped with a pallet position and a handle, enabling employees to use the trolleys as a manual rolling table as well.

Brd. Klee’s staff load the trolleys with goods, and the LD250 transports them automatically from the warehouse to the shipping area. This straightforward solution has proven to be extremely helpful in streamlining order fulfillment operations.

Brd. Klee worked closely with Ølgod Elektro and OMRON throughout the implementation process. OMRON supplied the mobile robot and acted as a sparring partner for the system integrator, while CESTEK played a key role by supplying the robot top and the trolleys.

Implementing OMRON’s autonomous mobile robot solution together with CESTEK’s accessories had a strong impact on Klee’s operational efficiency. By eliminating some of the manual and repetitive tasks, the company saw significant improvements in productivity and flexibility.

The seamless integration between the system controller and the mobile robot proved to be a key advantage.

This implementation demonstrates how a simple solution can be deployed in smaller units without significant investment.
